Chinese film Red Flower and Green Leaves won the Silver Sparrow for Best International Feature at the New Deli Diorama International Film Festival on Sunday, the film's producer announced on Tuesday.
Co-directed by Liu Miaomiao and Hu Weijie, the film's storyline focuses on a newly-wed couple in a Hui ethnic minority village in China. As they adjust to married life, the two gradually discover each other's family secrets.
Supported by the Indian Film Institute, the seven-day Diorama International Film Festival screened more than 130 films from more than 50 countries and regions. It has two competition sections for international films and Indian films respectively. Spanish film Newton's Third Law won the Golden Sparrow award.
